Moorea is an absolutely beautiful island. We've been hitchhiking around and the French tourists have been the most accommodating. The Hauru region is paradise. Crystal clear shallow water revealed colorful coral and reef fish as I paddled an outrigger canoe around the lagoon. Mom and Dad are staying in a traditional polynesian home on Motu Fareone. The lanai faces out across the lagoon and barrier reef toward the Pacific Ocean. We could see whales breeching just outside the reef.
