Custom Images is a member of Kodak's "Q-Lab" quality assurance program and we provide top quality E-6 and C-41 processing. Our dip and dunk machines are constantly monitored ensuring the most consistent and highest quality film processing available anywhere.

Expert film processing is the most important service we offer. For photographers and agencies alike, choosing a photo lab with with the highest quality film processing is the first step in a successful project. The key to clean, high quality film is consistency. At Custom Images we run more film than any other lab in Orange County. Because of this high volume and precise calibration, our processors' chemistry and temperature remain consistent unlike other shops whose conditions may vary widely due to lower volume.

Custom Printing - Type R, Supergloss, Type C

Color prints or "C Prints" are produced from color negatives. At Custom Images, every print from a 4x5 to a 50x60 is carefully handled by expert technicians with years of professional experience. With a discerning eye for color each print is matched to the original then cropped, dodged, burned and hand spotted to perfection. "C Prints" are ideal for tradeshow displays, comps, indoor signage and many other applications. Custom Images also produces the same Type C prints from digital files up to 50x96 with the revolutionary LightJet 5000.

Duratrans

Duratrans are backlit display graphics produced from color negatives. They are typically used in the display and tradeshow industries by installing the graphics in light boxes. The material has a translucent white base that diffuses the lightsource producing brilliant colors and allows for pure white areas in the image, such as knockout type, Custom Images also produces the same Duratrans prints from digital files up to 50x96 with the revolutionary LightJet 5000.

Mounting & Laminating

Custom Images offers a wide range of mounting substrates such as masonite, Sintra®, foamcore and Gator board, etc. Special over laminates help protect your display prints and reduce glare for graphics that will be under intense lighting conditions. Encapsulation laminates for small prints and optically clear adhesive on Plexiglas are some of the finishes you can select.
